Community College to Career: Preparing Workers for the Jobs of the Future

There is a nice opportunity to attend all of carrier in Dr. Jill Biden’s Community College at south Seattle community college Hangar.  During this year, Dr. Biden has been visiting to all the community colleges and businesses in the region of the country to have the vision on firsthand how community colleges are constructing the programs to afford the people the skills they need to contend in the global economy.

Dr. Biden consulted regarding the various aviation students and their guide said that he had graduated the similar course before thirty years ago. The mentor said he was secure his students would also manufacture extensive and rewarding careers in aviation. The students told me that they were looking onward to jobs at Boeing, Lockheed, and at commercial airlines all through the country.

As a community college instructor herself, Dr. Biden knows those community colleges, in corporation with business and the public personnel system, are producing skilled workers, geared up to fill jobs currently and in the prospect. The U.S. Department of Labor has invested funding in colleges, through grants and funding from Workforce Investment Boards, which are clearly meeting the needs of businesses.  And based on what we heard from students, these grants, and the work of the colleges, are turning lives around.

"It's about preparing people for jobs – it's about jobs for the future," Dr. Biden said. Boeing said that "Jason is a great example of what the partnership between Boeing and the community colleges can achieve."
